Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc., owned by dairy farmers in the Western New York State area, is a
food and beverage cooperative that has made high-quality dairy products since
1965. We market a wide variety of innovative products including milk, dip,
ice cream mix, yogurt, and flavored milk-based beverages, under the Upstate
Farms®, Wendt's®, Bison®, and IntenseTM brands.
In 1983, Upstate Niagara acquired the Bison Foods Company. Cottage cheese, sour cream, dip, and yogurt are manufactured at the company's new state-of-the-art cultured products plant in Buffalo. The Bison and Upstate Farms brands, as well as private label products, are manufactured and sold to customers in the retail, food service, and industrial sectors.
