The Upstate Niagara family prides itself in aiding local organizations and
charities that we recognize as having the same principles and beliefs as our
members and employees. We are active supporters of three charities that provide
programs, services, and other assistance to individuals and families throughout
the WNY community. These organizations are the United Way, the Buffalo
City Mission, and the Families of the U.S. Military through the New York
Army National Guard. Unfortunately, due to the extensive number of
solicitations for product and monetary donations, we cannot contribute to all
inquiring organizations and/or fundraising events. Any requests for
contributions to organizations with the exception of the above must comply with
the following guidelines:
Donation Criteria
Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc. unfortunately cannot support
the following:

Organizations that are not registered charities with
tax-exempt status

Political, religious, or ethnic groups and programs
-
Lobbying or advocacy groups
-
Private schools, foundations, or clubs
-
Labor organizations
-
Third-party fundraising organizations
-
Individuals or for-profit businesses
-
Organized sport teams or leagues
-
Fraternal organizations
-
Conferences, conventions, seminars, workshops,
telethons, or corporate picnics

Solicitations to Advertise
Donation requests will be considered only if the organization meets the
following criteria:

Must be a public organization with 501 (c) (3)
tax-exempt status
-
Must be within the immediate area of the geographic
regions that we cover
-
Must not have already received a donation from
Upstate Niagara within the last 12 months.
How to Submit a Donation Request
If you have an organization or event that meets the above criteria and
would like to submit a request for a donation, please do so at least 30 days
prior to the scheduled event on organizational letterhead and include the
following information:

Event name and goal of the organization

Date of event & approximate number of
attendees/participants
-
Specific purpose of the request in terms of desired
products and quantities

Certification of 501 (c) (3) tax status under the IRS
