In 1951, a couple years after his service in the Army,
Dwight Gerber bought seven cows and a tractor, establishing
the DWI-BET Farms in Ontario, NY, named after Dwight and his
wife Betty. In 1976, their son Ken became a partner. They
have worked the land and milked the cows until 2005 and then
they moved the farm along with the 44 cows to Addison, NY.
Today, Ken and his wife Kelly, and their sons, Jeff and
Jason are all working on the farm. They milk 310 cows and
they grow alfalfa, corn, wheat, and rye over 1,325 acres.
