Amberwood Farms in Newstead, just east of Clarence, NY, is
owned and operated by Jonathan and Carolyn Tschachtli.
Established in 1857, ours is a fifth-generation family farm.
We milk 55 Holsteins and have 60 young stock. We farm about
300 acres, growing our own cow feed of quality hay, corn,
wheat, and oats. Our dairy farm has been recognized, within
our co-op, Upstate Niagara, with numerous milk quality
awards.
Family farming is an industry that we must try to preserve.
It is more than a business; it is a way of life. We are good
stewards of the land and the animals, and we want to
continue to feed people and take care of our towns,
customers, family, and friends. We create economic stability
within our communities. Agriculture is what helped make this
country great.
You can keep your family farms strong with your purchase of
Upstate Niagara products. This means you are buying from
local farms and receiving fresh high quality dairy products.
“You have tried the rest, now try the best.”
Wear your milk mustache with pride! The guys and gals with
the cows do!
