Bernie Corcoran’s parents purchased the farm in 1939. Today,
Bernie and his son Rick provide all the labor on their small
dairy farm, where they milk 50 Holstein and Guernsey cows
and farm 240 acres of crop land, growing alfalfa, corn,
oats, and wheat. The chopped straw used as bedding in the
cows’ stalls also originates from the farm. The cows have
access to semi-shaded pasture and during summer, they are
outside much of the day.
