Barb Harkins’ great-grandfather purchased the Harkins Dairy
farm in 1927. Her grandfather and father took over the farm
in 1947 and ran it for nearly 40 years, until Craig and Barb
purchased the business. Tom and Rob, their sons, have joined
them through a partnership. The Harkins family’s hard
working spirit has been carried on through generations. They
built the free-stall barn and milking parlor doing most of
the work themselves. They milk 240 Holsteins producing
around 18,000 pounds of milk each day.
