The
story of Verratti Farms LLC begins in the early 1900’s, when
young Antonio Verratti stepped off the boat from Italy and
picked up a shovel along the shores of the Erie Canal. His
career path meandered from farm to farm, finally leading him
to the purchase of a 100 acre fruit farm in Niagara County.
With the arrival of his first Holstein cow, Tony converted
to a dairy operation in 1941. The next 60 years saw
advancements from milking by hand to his first milking
machine and finally, to a milking parlor.
As the generations have ticked by, the Verratti family’s
commitment to cows and milk quality has never waned. Our
families have been raised drinking the same farm-fresh milk
that we sell to our customers. We never lost the love of
turning seed into crops and calves into cows. Our passion is
founded in our love of farming and a deep rooted faith when
we can’t predict or control the future.
Our farm takes pride in the excellent care that our
animals receive, as we work hard every day to give them the
highest quality feed, bedding, milking and TLC. Ours is a
team of committed farmers, striving daily to create an
atmosphere of honesty, joy and patience, resulting in a
sanctuary of happy cows.
